Kamala Harris proudly claims the title, "daughter of Oakland." Only, Asian American residents of that city have been been victimized by crime and at best she has ignored their plight.

Harris became California's attorney general after narrowly beating Republican Steve Cooley by 0.5% of a percentage point. She stayed in the role as the state's chief law enforcement officer until 2017, when she took office as one of California's U.S. senators.

Voters need to know if she supports Gov. Gavin Newsom’s policies, including health care and other benefits for undocumented immigrants. | Opinion
