WNBA regular season, one of the most consequential in league history is in the books. After a rather anti-climactic final night on Thursday, all of the playoff seeds have been determined and the first-round playoff matchups are set.

ATLANTA — The Atlanta Dream are headed to the playoffs after a close victory over the #1 seed, New York Liberty. Rhyne Howard, Tina Charles and Allisha Gray all finished scoring in double figures, outscoring the Liberty 40-18 in the paint.

They got their wish by reaching the postseason with a 78-67 win over the New York Liberty on Thursday night, with the visitors' victory in the regular-season finale clinching the eighth and final seed for the WNBA playoffs. The same two teams will meet again when the postseason tips off Sunday.

The New York Liberty have clinched the No. 1 overall seed and home-court advantage throughout the WNBA playoffs by virtue of their 87-71 victory over the Washington Mystics on Tuesday night. This is the first time the Liberty have been the No.
